Rarely do we hear of politicians’ cars crashing at each other. It’s more or less like planes crashing mid air...right? But, along Kiambu Road, Kisumu Senator Anyang' Nyong’o escaped unhurt when his car was hit by another one that was being driven by Kabete MP Ferdinand Waititu’s son over the weekend.
Officials who visited the scene of the crash said they tested Waititu junior’s level of drunkenness but he passed the test. Nyong'o, who was being driven to the airport, was hurriedly transferred to another car and driven away. No one was injured.
“It was an accident like any other and we tested the driver who is the son of an MP but he passed the test,” said an officer who confirmed to MondayBlues that he was aware of the incident.
